I'm biting the bullet and entering a contest. I have no delusions that my photos would actually win, but you need to start somewhere, right? So this is my starting point.
I need y'all to help me choose which ones to submit. I'm going to submit 3-5 or something like that and leaving it up to you to help me decide who makes the cut.

ReplyDeleteI submitted for the Mayo Quarterly contest last year but didn't get picked. They usually pick crappy pictures and mine was outstanding, of course!
What kind of contest is it, is there a theme or something specific that they're looking for? That would help me narrow them down...
hmmm...i pick 2 and 4...
ReplyDeleteIt's Me Ra Koh's "Simple Gifts" contest. So really the photo can be of anything. I don't really have the right equipment to have a winning-caliber photo, but I'm doing the best with what I have :-)
ReplyDeleteChris-saw the one you submitted to the Quarterly, and it was great!
I would say, 7,8, or 10.
ReplyDelete7 is framed so cleverly and I love the angle
8 is just a great candid shot and I love the mono
10 has great lighting and detail and is just really darn sweet.
And you don't need fancy equipment to take a great photo- it has a lot more to do with the person running the camera than the camera itself! I think you have aa really good eye. ;)
I like 1 and the b&w of the girls hair in the wind. I also like the Children's museum one. Like Chris said, it is the operator of the camera and the eye of the person judging the contest. Dude, I wish you LUCK!
ReplyDeleteOff topic, the code I must enter to post my comment is splogs. that is a funny word
1,4,6, and 10 are my faves!
ReplyDelete1, 6, 9, 10,
ReplyDeleteand 11 too :)
