She has a slight speech impediment. Not as noticeable to me as to everyone else, so it might be worse than I think. However, it makes it cute listening to her. She is also overly LOUD in all situations (not so cute).
Tonight we sat in the first pew, which of course is equipped with a magnet for misbehavior hidden in the seat. It was a hard service to get through with all three of them, but at least we had some comic relief. Remember this is Ash Wednesday and we are Catholic, so we all get a cross of ashes on our foreheads.
E: "MOM, I DIDN'T GET A BIG ASS!"
Me: "Shhhh."
E: "NO! WHY DID YOU GET A BIG ASS AND I ONLY GOT A LITTLE ASS?! I DON'T WANT A LITTLE ASS, I WANT A BIG ASS LIKE YOU!" [Crying ensues and escalates to wailing.] I WAAAAANNNNNTTT AAA BIIIIIIIGGGGGEEEEERRRRRR AAAAAAAAAASSSSSS LIIIIIIIIKE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!"
Oh Em.
